My experience:

This was my first major project, "F.E.R.A.S" was developed over the course of 1 year and was the most work-intensive project to date. Working on a linear story game made me understand how to manage multiple game systems in a way that keeps the gameplay fluid while ensuring the narrative isn't overshadowed.

The amount of content in this game is also teaching me a lot about how to handle various unexpected situations and improve my gameplay balancing skills, taking into account players' varying skill levels.

Working on an FPS was a refreshing experience, as it brought a new perspective to my development process, requiring me to adapt the mechanics and challenges for a new viewpoint. However, it also brought unexpected difficulties, especially when it came to creating a realistic and immersive feeling for the player. Conveying the sensation of being a ball-shaped armadillo, with its limited vision and spherical movement, was particularly challenging. Balancing smooth gameplay with fidelity to the shape and feel of the animal required a lot of experimentation, from adjustments to the field of view to controlling movement speed, ensuring the experience was both fun and authentic.
